Understanding

Maila Tempest

Unlocking the dark cave
Gripping secrets with my fingers
Memorizing that haunted gaze
Your eerie look still lingers
The shine in your eyes
Manic, yet thrilling
Like your untamed lies
A smile enchantingly chilling
Raw bloodlust tormenting
Shooting bullets through my heart
Yet the adventure was tempting
Ethereal beauty in your art
Moonlight stringing us along
Wind slicing daggers in the night
Knowing that it’s wrong
The feeling making it right
Fear overshadowed by blazing desire
But ignorance can’t last, the fading fire
Burning me slowly one last time
Because the blood on your hands stained red on mine
